Are you feeling stuck trying to help your child manage big emotions?
Does it seem like no matter what you try, they still struggle with meltdowns, frustration, or self-doubt?
Are you looking for a supportive partner who can help your child build confidence and emotional resilience?
Kyla is a compassionate therapist who specializes in supporting neurodivergent children with emotional regulation. With work experience as a Special Education School Social Worker, a strong foundation in Family Systems, and knowledge in somatic strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Kyla helps children explore, understand, accept, and regulate their emotions. Kyla creates a safe, fun, and nurturing space where children can build confidence and emotional control.
Outside of therapy, Kyla enjoys a balance of adventuring in nature and relaxation. Her ideal vacation would have nature adventures and time to relax and read, preferably somewhere warm! Kyla’s favorite way to unwind is snuggling up on the couch with her pets and a good book or TV show. When not working, Kyla stays active with exercise, crafting, reading, playing games, and spending time with family. Current skills Kyla is working on are increasing her stamina for longer bike rides and diversifying her reading.
Kyla values the advice, "When needing the courage to be brave, remember to consider what may happen if everything goes right” along with “do it scared” and brings that perspective into their practice. Kyla is deeply committed to helping children and their parents navigate their emotional landscapes with confidence and control.
