Feeling like your emotions are controlling you instead of you controlling them? Let’s learn some skills together to regain control

You may have been told by people in your life “you’re being dramatic!” or “what’s the big deal!” when expressing your emotions. This can feel super invalidating and makes it even harder to cope with the situation.

I’m here to provide validation that feeling emotions more intensely than others is normal! In fact, it can even be a STRENGTH! I want us to work together to build a robust toolkit of skills to help manage the emotions when they feel overwhelming.

I have experience working with concerns including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, and the specific challenges related to being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach to therapy is DBT-informed and goal-oriented - I want to collaborate to discover your goals and use the principles of DBT to accomplish those goals in an effective way.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions or are searching for a supportive, non-judgmental environment to explore your thoughts and feelings, I'm here to help. Together, we'll uncover new ways to manage life’s ups and downs, build resilience, and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself.

Some of the most important advice I’ve received is to remember that no one cares as much as I do. When I am worried about how I look or what I am doing, I remember that those around me are thinking that same thing about themselves. May as well live in the moment!
